The Foundry's Annual Holiday Market is a great chance to sell your product and learn more about the small business resources in our space! We are returning to an in-person holiday market this year, celebrating the talents and skills of Foundry businesses as well as other local artisan vendors. Past years have seen hundreds of shoppers - it's a great chance to meet people, sell your items and learn more about the resources The Foundry has for small businesses. EVENT DETAILS The Foundry's Annual Holiday Market will be held December 11th, 11-5pm. Setup for vendors will be at 10am. Some tables will be available for use, but we have a limited supply, so if you can bring your own it is highly recommended. There are a limited number of spaces that have access to electrical - please check in with us ahead of time if you need to be near a plug. Cost per table: $20 - we use this money to purchase snacks for the event and to promote the event in support of our businesses. **Making Requirement - The Foundry is committed to hosting local artisans and small businesses that make products for sale. Please do not RSVP for a table if you are re-selling items (Paparazzi, etc). SAFETY PROTOCOLS The Foundry complies with all current local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID safety. Please be prepared to adhere to these recommendations when visiting our space. • To allow for adequate distancing, we are limiting the number of vendors participating in our market so that everyone can spread out • Vendors will be asked to wear face masks, regardless of vaccination status. • Hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies will be available throughout the building. The mission of The Foundry is to increase neighborhood prosperity by empowering individuals through education and entrepreneurship. BUSINESS INCUBATION We believe that creating the opportunities and conditions necessary for self sufficiency and economic stability promotes a healthier community. We accept budding entrepreneurs from throughout the city, but we’re especially excited to welcome low-income, minority, women-owned and neighborhood-based businesses into our mix! We assist with business incubation through affordable rental space, mentoring, business classes and workshops, and connections to local support services. Our Second Saturday open house events are themed neighborhood events with activities for all ages, including volunteer opportunities, vendors, classes, free kid's art activities, and much more. EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT AND EMPLOYMENT In addition to entrepreneurship, working with youth to achieve meaningful, long-term employment and a well-rounded education is a priority for our organization. Economic stability and social health of people in our community is vital for the overall health of our neighborhood. We facilitate youth opportunities through STEM exploration for girls, job training partnerships (Baker-Victory Services, YouthBuild, Aspire), part time employment at the Foundry, career exploration, and youth entrepreneurship programs.
