Genevieve Fulton, daughter of Robert E. Fulton III, will be showing her father's work- the two short film "Pilot's Notes" This is a film that goes to the heart and muscle of flight and photography. A light single-engine aircraft and one pilot/cameraman were to cover the continent of South America, given a mandate to fly into areas so remote they would be the first images recorded there. By all accounts, it was a monumental task. After a full year's worth of traveling and fiming, legendary aerial cinematographer Robert Fulton III had flown over just about every peak, river, glacier, volcano and jungle of the Andes. Each drop of fuel, each inch of celluloid, and every knot of wind becoming part of the calculus - and the Andes under our feet. About the Photograph: Robert Fulton and the director, Vladimir Van Maule, were on location in Venezuela filming Pilot Notes. The plane is a Cessna 180 over Angel Falls, Caniama National Park, Venezuela The Cinematographer for Pilot Notes, Vladimir Van Maule, was born in Prague in the Czech Republic, moved to America at age seventeen in 1969 and was educated at the School of Art Institute in Chicago. Vladimir opened up his own studio, Filmontage Productions, and over the years has produced over fifty TV commercials, twelve feature films, and award-winning documentaries. I, Genevieve Fulton, am the daughter of Robert Fulton and am not a filmmaker myself; I work in the field of mental health. I appreciate and encourage artistic expression in multiple domains to help with everyday stressors and to help cope with trauma, including cinematography. I have a passion for singing, songwriting, piano playing and sketching in my free time. Clarion Performing Arts Center provides education and live performance opportunities by fusing music, poetry, theater and visual art as one organic artistic experience for individuals and communities.
