The Hort's Senior Naturalist SeriesCalling all senior nature lovers! From birding along the Hudson River to phenology walks, and seed exploration, come explore the natural world around us.
Join The Hort's educators every week to learn something new, be outside in the beautiful fall weather, and meet some of the fellow naturalists in our community.
Every Tuesday we will explore a different aspect of the natural world around us, so please join us for as many Tuesday as you’d like! Registration is free.
When:Tuesdays in October and November at 11am.
Where:Meet us outside The Hort Greenhouse, located within Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. Our address is 679 Riverside Dr. NY, NY 10031. Pedestrian entrances at 145th and 138th St. Please note that there is no public parking available within Riverbank State Park .
What to expect:Each Tuesday session is an hour in length. Please dress comfortably for the weather.
If there is heavy rain or other inclement weather, we will notify you by 8:30 am if the program has been canceled.
