Transgender Day of Remembrance was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester Invited by U.M.E. (United Movement Empowered) LGBTQ+ w/ special focus on the P.O.C. Trans Community and Peace Amongst Youth & Family Services. Please join us for a Sunset Vigil @ Garner Basin's Seawall from 4:30-6 pm. Then go put your BEST FASHIONABLE FOOT FORWARD and join us for our VIP Cocktail Reception @ The Leadership Studio on Tennessee Ave from 7:30- 9:30 PM. There will be a DJ and SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCES and MUCH MORE!
