Join RockFilter Distillery's founder in the class to taste and learn all about their unique take on Bourbon and Rye. We are thrilled to have Christian Myrah, the founder of RockFilter Distillery, join us to lead this class featuring his fantastic line of whiskies. RockFilter is nestled in the far southeastern corner of Minnesota in a small town called Spring Grove. One of only two farm distilleries in Minnesota, RockFilter grows their own grains, and even has them processed at the local historic mill. This locally focused, grain-to-glass approach leads to a product that is both high quality and utterly distinctive. The use of unusual grains, like triticale, oats, and Oaxacan green corn also set RockFilter apart from other distillers and lead to a wonderful diverse and delicious range of whiskies. In this class, Christian, the founder, farmer, and head distiller of RockFilter will lead you on a tasting through his full selection of whiskies: bourbons and ryes that stretch boundaries and enthrall palates. When he opened RockFilter in 2015, he hoped to recreate the camaraderie he had enjoyed while serving as a fighter pilot in the armed services. We certainly think he has created spirits that engender a potent conviviality. So join us for this special event as we learn all about these exciting whiskies! COVID-19 Protocols: While we are excited to resume hosting events, we are aware of the risk that remains from COVID-19. Because of this, we are asking that all attendees provide proof of vaccination when they come to the class. The nature of our event makes social distancing and masking impractical, so until advice changes, our classes will be limited to vaccinated customers only. Must be 21+ to attend.
