Join us for a beautiful, week ending Sound Bath! When sound waves wash over you, they trigger a response in our bodies that converts those waves into electrical signals into the auditory cortex. Listening to music floods our brains with dopamine, and oxytocin. This can help to relax the body, reduce anxiety and improve creativity. The vibrations of the instruments used in the sound bath help to bring harmony and an expanded state of awareness. The tones that are created can help to focus the energy and allow for better flow in the body, mind and spirit. Melodie was born into this world with the gift of song. When she was in high school she developed her love for singing and started a blues and rock band with her father when she was 18 years old, their band toured the Midwest until she was 32. Music runs through her veins, and it was something that had been missing in her life since her father passed away, and as a healer, Melodie found a new passion for spiritual music and sound healing. Melodie is trained in massage therapy, reiki, acupressure and hypnosis and has been practicing in the Des Moines area since 2004. Her love for helping others heal has naturally found it’s way into her passion for art and music. Melodie has created a sound bath experience that is unique, using a combination of reiki, hypnosis and healing instruments to stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system to create tranquility, peace and a great sense of self love and acceptance. Each of her sound baths will have a specific theme to help reach different aspects of yourself and bring awareness into your existence. Dress cozy, warm and comfortable!
