Position Summary: The landscape technician is responsible for maintaining all landscape areas which includes: lawns, bushes, trees and bedding areas. Responsibilities: The landscape technician duties typically include and without limitation: • Mow, edge and fertilize lawn areas. • Trim bushes and prune trees. • Perform irrigation repairs. • Assist with the unloading and loading of work trucks. • Assist with site set up of plant materials. • Perform manual work such as digging, raking, sweeping and heavy lifting. • Maintain the job site, staging the area clean and keeping it organized. • Assist in keeping the job site tidy, organized and safe. • Use all installation tools according to company safety policies. • Operate the blower for cleaning the sidewalks, and parking lots. • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and referring defects or needed repairs to the Superintendent. • Maintain required work records which includes, filling out accurate timesheets daily for each property, logging in the hours of work, and clocking in and out on the company cell phone. • Properly follow company and CAL/OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor and HR Manager. • Provide excellent customer service. • Possess excellent communication skills to communicate with tenants on a daily basis. • Consistent and high quality work performance. • Maintain professionalism at all times. • Maintain integrity with company property and time. • Reports to work regularly and on time. • Takes direction and responds cooperatively to supervision. • Comply with all company rules and regulations stated in the Philco Building Maintenance, Inc. handbook. • All other duties as assigned.
