Description

Oreo could really use your help. He is a male Border Collor mic with one blue eye and one brown eye. He’s beautiful! We found Oreo languishing in a shelter in the Central Valley. When we found him, he had been in the shelter for 9 months. That’s unheard of at a kill shelter. But somehow, Oreo had the sympathy of the shelter staff and they kept giving him more time to be rescued. At the time we found him he had been scheduled to be put down. We bought him some extra time in order to find him a foster home. Big dogs are hard to place. Oreo came into the shelter seriously under socialized. And while he was at the shelter, he was attacked by another dog. But despite the challenges, Oreo over came his fears and is now a wonderful, happy dog who is quite comfortable around people. He even had learned some commands like sit. He is also very well mannered in the car and is truly looking to have an owner he can belong to. He has lots of energy and does well around other dogs although he can sometimes wear them out playing and doesn’t always know when to stop playing when the other dog tires. Right now, we have Oreo in a kennel waiting for either a foster, or adoptive home. He needs someone who is active who would be willing to welcome them into their home. You can find both a foster application, and an adoption application at rescuetheunderdog.com. Please consider giving Oreo a chance to be in a home where he can be with people and have the life every dog deservEd.
