Press release from the Town of Chelmsford: September 30, 2021 For immediate release: September 30, 2021   MassDOT Advisory: Chelmsford   Temporary Daytime Closure of Concord Road at Route 4 (Boston Road)   Closure will be in place on Saturday, October 2, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., and is needed to facilitate culvert installation operations     CHELMSFORD  – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing a daytime road closure and detour of Concord Road at Route 4 (Boston Road) in Chelmsford. The closure will take place on Saturday, October 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The closure will allow crews to safely excavate and install sections of a precast concrete culvert across Concord Road.   Detours will be in place as follows:   This work is part of a $2.3 million project for intersection improvements and a culvert replacement at the intersection of Route 4 and Concord Road.  Work is expected to be completed in early Spring 2023.   Those traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution.
