STAMFORD, CT — Shippan Avenue between Cummings Park and Magee Avenue will be closed in all directions to all traffic throughout the evening hours due to a two-car accident, according to the Stamford Police Department. One of the cars hit a utility pole and wires are dangling, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad Supervisor for the SPD. There are no severe injuries, and Eversource has been called to the scene to assist with the repair of the pole, he said.
