These two Middlesex County parks can be excellent for winter birding. We’ll focus on waterfowl, gulls, and hawks. We’ll start at Raritan Bay Waterfront Park, searching for ducks, loons, and grebes then caravan about 15 minutes to Buchanan Park in Sayreville to scan the river and marshes for hawks, eagles, and rare gulls.
