Walk the Historic Village, decorated for the Holidays and learn about Elizabeth White's Holly Tree Nursery, Whitesbog's role in history and visit Suningive, The General Store and other historic houses and farm landscapes that speak to Whitesbog's heritage. Holiday-themed drinks and snacks included with your tour! (Will be Available on Porch)Meet at The General Store just before the start of the Tour. Tours are led by our staff including our Archivist and Volunteer historians, interns and Executive Director. For new visitors: Whitesbog is located off of Lakehurst Rd. in Browns Mills, NJ. At 799 Lakehurst Rd. you will see a sign for the village, follow the long driveway past the blueberry and cranberry fields to the parking lot and General Store. You can arrive before the tour to walk the trails on your own and see more of the holly tree varieties all around the Village or explore the store, open from 10 am - 4 pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Social Distancing & Masks Required. Whitesbog Historic Village is a National Register Historic District and part of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest. All event proceeds help restore, preserve and promote the village and educational programs, put on by Whitesbog Preservation Trust, a nonprofit. Trails are sandy and can be bumpy, we will have lanterns to guide our way. Suningive house is a three story historic home with stairs. Whitesbog is a preserved 1857 Cranberry & Blueberry Farm Village (and still active farm) with beautiful house museums, a General Store and a huge collection of farm artifacts and archive items including retro cranberry advertisements and recipe books! Share a drink and some snacks with our archives and history crew and spare some time to walk (or drive) the trails, see the cranberry bogs and shop in the General Store. Suningive, designed and built for Elizabeth C. White, the "Blueberry Queen". has been preserved and slowly restored with the help of the Whitesbog Preservation Trust. This beautiful Craftsman home constructed in 1923 has unusual features and hidden treasures, unique fixtures and woodwork, garage and porches with 2nd and 3rd story views out over the cranberry bogs, her native pine barrens botanical garden, pond and woodland trails. Tickets are non-refundable and are a donation the the nonprofit, Whitesbog Preservation Trust.  Thank you for your support!
