Family needs to replace 100 year old windows

Hello! Thanks for clicking! I am going to start out by saying that this is not something that I decided to create on a whim. My husband & I bought a beautiful house that we love. It is 116 years old! This house has almost all of the original flooring, molding, & layout. That being said...the windows are also 116 years old. Let me tell you, we can feel it. Since we just bought the house, we did not get approved for the financing of the new windows. We do have a date set to get them replaced, (YAY) however it is going to cost us about $30,000! I know. Unfortunately, replacing the windows is not about vanity, but safety & heat! The original windows are single pane, wooden frames, & we're not 100% sure that they are even real glass... Basically our house heat just kinda goes out the window, & the summer heat flies on in. The company we are using has been wonderful (Evergreen Home Exteriors) but theres a shortage of glass, much like theres a shortage of everything, so we are 13 weeks out for our new window installation.
