Woodbridge Holds 3 Clinics For Kids To Get COVID Vaccine

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Mayor John E. McCormac announced Monday that Woodbridge Township will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5 - 11 this Wednesday, Nov. 10, this Friday, Nov. 12 and next Friday, Nov. 19. All the clinics will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza. As of Monday, 9,116 children ages 5-11 in New Jersey have gotten the first Pfizer shot for the coronavirus vaccine, according to the latest Department of Health data. Last week, the CDC granted final approval on the use of the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11. A parent or legal guardian must be present in order for the child to be vaccinated at the Woodbridge clinics. The Pfizer vaccine is a two-dose series and all patients will receive an appointment for the second dose before leaving the clinic. Please call at 732-855-0600 ext. 5004 to make an appointment.
