Dry weather continues for most areas this week. Cooler temperatures are in store Thursday into Saturday. By cooler weather we are talking about temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to upper 60s. Here are the top stories in Austin today: An Austin man has filed a lawsuit against rappers Travis Scott, Drake and two Harris County event services after suffering injuries at Astroworld Festival in Houston. (Austin Patch)The number of babies being born in Texas continued to fall significantly faster than the national average, officials report. Here's why. (KXAN.com) Meals on Wheels is resuming service in Central Texas in January 2022 and needs 500 more volunteers in the Greater Austin area to help out in different services. (Spectrum News) A man is dead after his car crashed into a tree Sunday evening in east Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. (Austin Patch) Hours after the Astroworld festival in Houston, a Texas State student, who went to the festival, found out her hometown friend was one of the eight victims who died.
