SANTA MONICA, CA — An ocean water use warning is underway for several Los Angeles beaches, including Santa Monica beaches, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced Tuesday night. "The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said. Swimmers and surfers were cautioned before visiting the following beaches: Pico-Kenter Storm Drain in Santa Monica. Santa Monica South Tower 20Mother's Beach in Marina Del ReySanta Monica Pier in Santa MonicaSanta Monica Canyon Creek at Will Rogers State Beach, Near Tower 18Inner Cabrillo Beach in San PedroAshland Ave. Storm Drain in Santa Monica, Santa Monica South Tower 20 Recorded information on beach conditions is available 24- hours a day on the county's beach closure hotline: 1-800- 525-5662.
