MISSION VIEJO, CA — One Mission Viejo man was saved from an apartment fire Monday morning after the Orange County Fire Authority performed a swift rescue while battling to contain the blaze, the OCFA reported. The man, who was described by an OCFA spokesperson as "elderly," was a resident of the apartment along with his daughter and son-in-law. The blaze occurred at 4:24 a.m. in the 26,000 block of Dorothea in Mission Viejo, the OCFA reported. The cause of the fire is unknown and currently under investigation. According to the OCFA, the man's daughter and son-in-law were treated by on-site paramedics and are in stable condition. The condition of the man who was rescued is not yet known.
