MINNETONKA, MN — Minnetonka's incumbent mayor Brad Wiersum was reelected last week with 6,897 votes, or 60.77 percent of all votes, according to unofficial totals from the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Wiersum defeated challenger John Kuhl, the city confirmed. Kuhl received 4,100 votes. There were 19 write-ins.
Below is a precinct-by-precinct look at the mayoral election. Wiersum won all but one precinct; Minnetonka W-2 P-E, which was won by Kuhl 126 votes to 119.
The unofficial results will be canvassed at the Nov. 8 Minnetonka City Council meeting. Following the election, Wiersum is set to serve another four-year term.
