CULVER CITY, CA — Do you still need your flu shot? Culver City will offer free flu shots via a drive-thru flu shot clinic this week. The clinic will be from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Building Parking Lot, 4117 Overland Avenue, Culver City. This event is in partnership with Los Angeles County Public Health and requires no preregistration or appointments. Walk-ups are also accepted for anyone who walks, bikes or takes public transit. "Stay healthy during the pandemic and protect yourself from the flu by getting a flu immunization," officials said. "Flu is more than a bad cold. Flu can be mild to severe, and at times can lead to life-threatening illness, hospitalization or death." It's now more important than ever to get immunized. "This year, flu and COVID-19 will be circulating in communities throughout L.A. County, and both can cause serious illness," officials said. "The best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu, is to all get a flu immunization." L.A. County Public Health will offer free flu vaccines to those 6 months of age and older at select locations across the County. Health insurance is not required. Drivers can enter the drive-thru area via Coombs Avenue, near the Wende Museum. The best route for entry is to take Overland Avenue southbound, turn right/west onto Barman Avenue, and then right/north onto Coombs Avenue.
