THIS ONE-DAY SPECIAL EDUCATION LAW & ADVOCACY PROGRAM FOCUSES ON FOUR AREAS: Special Education Law, Rights & Responsibilities. Tests & Measurements to Measure Progress & Regression SMART Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Introduction to Tactics & Strategies for Effective Advocacy. Conference fee includes lunch for in-person participants or mailed books/materials for Zoom participants, a Wrightslaw highlighter pen, three Wrightslaw books-Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 2nd Ed., Wrightslaw: From Emotions to Advocacy, 2nd Ed., and Wrightslaw: All About IEPs provided the morning of the conference and then, within a week after the program, Wrightslaw will email those three books to each attendee in the adobe.pdf format. The three print and pdf books retail for $103.70. EARLY BIRD & VIP registrants will receive FREE adobe.pdf downloads of Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 2nd Ed. and Wrightslaw: Special Education Legal Developments and Cases 2017, which includes all of the 2017 U. S. Court of Appeals special education cases and the two 2017 U. S. Supreme Court cases, Fry and Endrew F., which have a retail value of $34.90. MARTA Train at the airport can be taken to the Kensington Station that is 3 miles from the Grand Royale Event Center. Take the gold line from the airport to Five Points Station, then take the blue line to Kensington Station. CLE/CEU CREDIT: 6 CLEs with 0.5 ethics & 0.5 professionalism (continuing legal education/approved) credits through the State Bar of Georgia (including 0.5 ethics/0.5 professionalism) and 0.6 CEUs (continuing education units) through Delta State University are approved.
