Here are the top stories today in Anchorage: The planning director for the Municipality of Anchorage is resigning next month. Michelle McNulty, who was appointed to her position in 2018 when Ethan Berkowitz was mayor of Anchorage, announced her resignation this week, with her last day being Dec. 8. McNulty is one of several municipal directors to announce resignations this month. (Alaska Public Media News)Three candidates are holding a joint fundraiser to try to flip the Anchorage Assembly. Kathy Henslee, District 4; Randy Sulte, District 6; and Stephanie Taylor, District 5, will be hosting a 'Meet The Candidates' fundraiser on Wednesday, ahead of the next election which takes place in mid-March to April 5, 2022.
