Roasting coffee with an expert. Ever wondered what it’s like to roast and taste coffee like an expert? We’re letting you in on our secrets (and the fun). You and up to three others will be trained and set loose with our one-pound roaster (don’t worry, our head roaster will be looking over your shoulder) and you get to keep what you roast! How it works: Each group member gets a free beverage of their choosing upon arrival. One of our head roasters, Lisette, will meet with you to give the details on coffee and how to roast. It'll start with a little Q&A and then a run down through some coffee basics. We'll make sure you're equipped with something to take notes while you learn.Lisette will do the first sample roast to show you how it's done. We'll go through terminology, roasting steps, and we'll answer any other questions that come up during the demo. After the demo, everyone in your group will have the chance to roast a batch of coffee on our sample roaster. Your group gets to keep all of the coffee you've roasted! You'll be given a certificate upon completion and even a few extra goodies to take home. Some things to keep in mind: Kids are welcome to join as long as they are accompanied by a parent or authorized guardian. Please wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. We can only accommodate four people per roasting experience at this time.
