This loving, bustling family recently relocated from Laguna Beach, CA to Aspen, CO for the endless possibilities that the outdoors has to offer! They also enjoy traveling to their home in Laguna Beach, CA for long weekends or week-long trips. Their 9 -year-old is imaginative, curious, always ready for adventure, while their 6-year-old is animated and loves to draw, paint and dance! They place a strong emphasis on ensuring everyone in their home is valued and respected and forming professional, lasting bonds with their caregivers. As mom is widowed, this is a single parent family looking for an extra set of hands to step in when mom needs to travel for work, etc. This position is ideal for a candidate who is excited to work with two creative, inquisitive children and to be a positive role model, experience with elementary school ages is key! The family hopes for a nanny who can play a part in inspiring the children’s growth, such as instilling responsibility and independence, encouraging them to jump in with household tasks being brave and open minded! A nanny who brings a loving, organized, experienced, and passionate energy to this position will be valued. Flexibility and a can-do spirit will be appreciated when it comes to light travel and potential overnights with the kids potentially once a month, child-related household tasks (and encouraging the children to join!) The family has an open, collaborative environment in their home and are eager to work with a nanny who they can partner with. Mom is respectful of autonomy and work-life balance for their nanny and always looks to create an environment that works for everyone for years to come. Position Details · Hours/Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays from 3pm to bedtime. Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and travel will be asked and appreciated. · Live-in OR Live-out: If Live-in, there is a private nanny suite, with bedroom, bathroom and living area in their 5000 square ft home. · Compensation and Benefits: The family is offering $1300-1500/week based on a schedule of 40-50 guaranteed hours/week. Additional benefits include a healthcare stipend, PTO, travel/ overnight stipend. · Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect fit! Responsibilities · Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive · Be a positive role model and instill values of independence and responsibility · Pick up the children from school and activities. Occasionally, join in the children’s activities: hikes, ski days, bike rides, etc. · Engage in fun-filled, enriching activities beyond basic care and manage planning activities, outings, and playdates · Prep simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children as needed · Pitch-in with child-related household tasks, encouraging the children to join, such as light tidying and children’s laundry · Assist with organizational projects, running errands, and other various family assisting tasks while the children are in school · Travel with the family for long weekends or week-long trips as needed Qualifications · At least 3-5 years of professional, full-time childcare experience · Recent, applicable experience caring for elementary and middle school-aged children · Valid driver’s license and passport preferred but not required · Flexible to travel with the family throughout the year as needed · Organized and collaborative, excited to partner with mom.
