Off Wednesday and Sunday Avalon Appliances has an exciting opportunity to join our In-House Delivery & Installation Team as an Appliance Delivery & Installation Specialist. As an installer, you will have an opportunity to install a variety of major home appliances, build or refine your technical skills, and complete each delivery with the satisfaction of a job well done. Responsibilities Able to perform custom appliance installations to include site modifications (if needed under guidance) Proper handling and installation of gas and electric household appliances such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, built in refrigerators and ventilation hoods Ensures the installed appliances are properly installed according to manufacturer’s specifications and are fully functioning Interact professionally and courteously with builders, designers, and on-site customers – you deal with a vast array of customers Read plans, specs to have a proper install - site evaluations if needed, meet specs, connected properly, etc. Wearing a company shirt and maintaining a professional appearance is always expected. Attend installation training seminars and certifications to stay up to date (PROVIDED)on all product changes Provide GREAT customer service and always demonstrate respect. Neat, clean, and professional appearance Ensures safe and on-time delivery of products to customers Technology of using phone, including taking pictures of the installations and detailed notes on what took place during the delivery and installation. Return all haul-away materials including packaging materials and used appliances as outlined. Load and unload delivery trucks. Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks Be able to move and lift appliances throughout shift. Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures Complete other tasks as assigned by dispatch or management. Qualifications No experience required will train-Experience installing appliances is PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED Ability to deliver “white glove service” to customers, excellent customer service skills are a must! Valid state issued license is a plus but not required Mechanical skills and willingness to learn – plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills are preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Must be able to lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally Avalon Appliances is an equal employment employer F/M/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
