Our client, a manufacturing company in Los Angeles, is looking for an entry level Set Up Mechanic! Duties: Assemble, install, position and align tooling and or die Will work with hopper valves and shuttle mechanisms to regulate it for necessary flow of powdered metal material for specific job/s Make adjustments, repairs and or clears jams in presses during production runs Dismantles set-ups and stores tooling for next production run Perform coining set-ups Writes broken tool reports Must know how to read blueprints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed, rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determine sequence of operations Observe operation of machines and verify conformance of machined work-piece to specifications Requirements- Minimum of 1 year related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience High School Diploma or GED Must be able to read blueprints, interpret product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances and tooling instructions. Mechanically inclined Set up and control computer function presses. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am -3:30 pm. / Pays $19 hourly / This is a Temp to Hire position for the right candidate!
