We’re looking to immediately hire an exceptional finish carpenter who also has experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Our area of operation is typically in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Brentwood. Most of the work will be done on site at the job location in one or more of those areas. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a stable, long-term career and wants an opportunity to learn more and increase their skill set, value, and earning potential. These are some of the skills and experience we’re looking for: • Cabinetry building and installation, moulding • Familiar with blueprints – not a requirement, but a good start for those who can • Tile, backsplash, countertop installation • Staining and painting • Any finish carpentry or detail work These are some of the personality traits we’re looking for: • A self-starter. We’re looking for someone who can work with minimal oversight, who knows what needs to be done, then does it. We need someone with ambition, who knows what they have to do every day because they’ve taken the time to study the job and the plans, to know the timeline, and can meet those deadlines every time. • Someone who can follow directions. It’s great to be independent and we value that, but these are our jobs and our clients, and sometimes things must be done a certain way. We need someone who is a do-er, but can also listen, adjust and adapt as the situation calls for. • Someone who is highly responsible and reliable. We need someone who can commit to the job and commit to the company. • Has the ability to take instruction and criticism. We want every single employee to be a high functioning unit in this company. We want our people to learn how to be better businessmen, better tradesman, and better leaders. Sometimes that means learning new things and doing things differently than you’ve done them before. If we see a problem or an ongoing issue we’re going to bring that to your attention. Not because we want to insult you, but because we want you to be and do better, and we know you can, or else we wouldn’t have hired you in the first place. The right person will earn up to $50 an hour after a 90-day review. Starting salary is $38/hr with a wage review in 90 days, then 6 months, then every year after that.
