Home Grown works with transition aged youth (ages 18-24) in Humboldt County who are experiencing housing instability to attain short-term stable housing. We use the Host Home model, where volunteers “host” youth for 1-12 months, providing them with housing, stability, & mentorship. Do you have a spare bedroom (or other livable space) that’s just collecting dust? You can put that room to good use by hosting a youth in need for a short stay! To find out how YOU can make a difference as a “host” attend one of our upcoming virtual info sessions (Monday, 11/15/21 from 6pm-6:30pm, Sunday 11/21/21 from 1pm-1:30pm, & Tuesday 11/30/21 from 12pm-12:30pm), contact Joann at to let her know what date you wish to attend.
