CLEAN & PEW = We will clean up the range in the morning, eat lunch and then shoot in the afternoon. Hello alumni! We wanted to see if anyone was interested in spending the day with us on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 (10am-5pm) at our Dahlonega range!?!? We will clean up the range in the morning, eat lunch and then shoot in the afternoon. If for some reason we don't get to the PEW past then you will be invited to a class for FREE. Most of the time we DO shoot that same day! We have hired a friend to bush hog the entire property every 3 weeks during spring, summer and fall but once or twice a year we get a group of volunteers to head up there to remove blockages (small branches and weed growth) in the little creek, cut low hanging branches, remove weed vines from fence, clear the sides of the driveway, lay pine straw and/or mulch, clean the pavilion and possibly even plant some perennials...basically help keep our mountain range beautiful. Morning RANGE CLEAN UP List: Bring anything that you would want to use to clean up your yard/creek... Weed eater​ Backpack sprayer or carry pump to spray weeds Gloves and hat Rake Pruning shears Saw to cut branches Expendable pole saw and pruner Wheelbarrow (only need 1 or 2 so check w me) WHAT AM I FORGETTING? We will supply H20 and snacks but please bring your lunch Afternoon PEW PEW Gear List: Pistol w/holster (strong side, inside, outside waistband or appendix is fine). Holsters that collapse (leather, soft, etc.) when drawn will NOT be allowed on our range. NO SERPA HOLSTERS will be allowed on our range. Please make note that if you show up with any of the above, we will ask you to CHANGE so you can comply with our range rules. If you do not have a back up gun then you can CHANGE to a HK VP9 and a strong side Kydex holster that we will provide free of charge. Ammo not included Duty belt/rig is APPROVED You can BORROW a H&K VP9 or VP9Sk and holster from us at NO CHARGE. Please contact me immediately to reserve this H&K 9mm pistol Please make note that the range MAY be muddy due to inclement weather and/or previous rain fall so keep that in mind when it comes to foot attire. OH, AND there are tiny natural springs throughout the grounds that keep parts of the range moist. Concealment garment is required. Please make note that some students will be working from the "ready" position and some will be working from "the holster". 200 rounds of factory loaded ammunition Magazine pouch (if none don’t worry pockets work well) A sturdy belt for the holster and magazine pouches (try your gear on prior to class) Extra magazines: Double Stack x 3 mags and Single stack x 4 or more mags Eye & ear protection (foam inserts or muffs – electronic muffs recommended) "Back up” gun if you got it. You never know when a failure will occur and screw up your whole training day Hat with bill Sunblock and bug spray (as needed) Rain or shine Don't forget a change of clothes (in case you get wet in the creek or just want a dry shirt to change into)​ Prerequisite: You need to be an alumni of any kind to participate in range clean up and picnic lunch. You need to be a "live fire" alumni to participate in the afternoon PEWPEW. Please make note for afternoon PEWPEW: All LIVE FIRE alumni who have trained with us in the last 12 months will be invited to stay and shoot with Brian in a "training setting" after lunch. This is for peeps that have already shot with us because the "afternoon shoot" will not be for beginners. There will be a LIMIT so get with me asap to ensure you can shoot after lunch.
