Description

4-H Monthly Fun Kits for December will include almost everything you need to complete 3 different "Learn by Doing" activities. This month the fun kit will include: how to make yeast bread in a bag, how to make a garden/Christmas sock gnome, and how to make a milk jug snowman. Youth ages 5-18 are welcome to get a kit. If more than one child in a household wants a kit they are welcome to register for a kit. The bread is the only part of the kit that makes more than one, it makes two loaves. You will receive all the ingredients and tools for making the bread except the pan spray for spraying the pans, the hot water, and the oven. You will receive everything you need for the sock gnome. The only thing you will not receive for the milk jug snowman is the milk jug and cutting tools. You must pre-register through Eventbrite to receive a kit. Pre-registration closes on December 16th at midnight. We are only giving 30 kits away and we will have a waiting list if more that 30 sign up. Youth must be a resident of Cherokee County because the kits must be picked up in person. No kits will be mailed. In person pick up will happen on December 22 from 10-6 at the NC Cooperative Extension, Cherokee County Center, at 40 Peachtree Street. We will be closed from 12-1. Arrangements for a set time pick up will be made due to COVID-19 safety protocals and adhered to for everyones safety. We will have YouTube video instructions and paper instructions for youth to follow.
