We are looking for someone to help with yard and garden work. Immediate tasks include moving wood chips, a bit of raking, removing overgrown weeds and brambles, and perhaps building a trellis for blackberry plants. Future tasks may include cutting down bamboo in spring, and digging holes for planting trees and/or garden beds, as well as general yard work like mowing. You must be strong, willing to get dirty, able to work independently with direction, and must be able to differentiate weeds from desirable plants (with initial direction). Loving gardens, plants, and working outdoors is a plus. I have all the tools needed. We will pay $12-16/hour depending on experience and qualifications. Our immediate needs are relatively small-scale (perhaps 8-12 hours total) but there are likely to be ongoing tasks over the winter where we would need additional help on an ongoing basis.
