Sanitation Operator Starting Salary - Depending on Qualifications This is a fulltime position which collects garbage and refuse within the Town of Wrightsville Beach. Employees perform routine manual and semi-skilled work. Position is responsible for operating and maintaining sanitation equipment, collection of residential and commercial trash, yard trash, appliances, and other duties as assigned. Ability to operate and drive a load packer, tractor, backhoe, front-end loader or similar equipment is preferred. The employee is subject to Level III OSHA Standards on blood borne pathogens. High School Diploma or GED supplemented by one to two years’ previous experience and/or training is preferred. Special requirement of this position is to have or able to obtain a valid commercial driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
