Dining Services at the University of Rochester is hosting a career fair Thursday, November 11th from 9am - 2pm at Staybridge Suites (1000 Genesee Street, Rochester NY 14611). We are looking for Cashiers, Utility Workers, Salad/Sandwich Makers, Cooks, Cook Helpers. On the spot interviews along with assistance with applying online. Cashiers- ring up guests handling cash, credit cards and making change, set-up menu boards, light cleaning and stocking as directed. Utility/Porters- cleans equipment, utensils, pots & pans, and work areas, handles supplies. Salad/Sandwich Makers- cleans, prepares and mixes ingredients according to recipes to be used in salads, cocktails, dressings, sandwiches and similar dishes, sets up station/salad bar. Cook Helper- gathers food supplies and equipment and prepares food using a heating element such as (but not limited to) grills, broilers, ovens, ranges, fryers, steamers, kettles, mixers, etc. Tends foods that are cooking and tests them for progress of cooking. Prepping, cooking, temping and serving a variety of food items.
