As a Trades Tech, you will be working with a highly motivated team skilled in performing maintenance and repairs at Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) facilities. Our facilities are essential to our community in providing high-quality recreation opportunities; these facilities are maintained by our dedicated employees within the maintenance operations department. The Trades Tech joins a team within the maintenance operations department that performs a wide variety of skilled repairs, facility, and building-related improvements, and preventative maintenance tasks. The Trades Tech receives lead direction from the Trades Tech Coordinator and may exercise supervision and support as needed.
Successful applicants will have the equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical college education in carpentry, construction, or related field and at least two years of full-time experience (40 hours per week for two years) in facility maintenance or related trade. Candidates must have a valid Oregon driver's license and a good driving record to operate district equipment and drive to assigned locations.
A Forklift Certification and a Boom and Scissor Lift Certification, or the ability to obtain these certifications within six (6) months of hire, is required. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish and current or former THPRD employees are invited to apply!
