Gasper's Automotive Restoration specializes in restorations and repairs of antique fire trucks and vintage cars and trucks. We work with town fire departments around the country as well as private owners. We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic who is knowledgeable and passionate about the restoration process of older vehicle brands such as: Mercury, Hudson, Lincoln, Studebaker, Ford, Chevrolet/GMC, International, Seagrave, American LaFrance, Ahrens Fox, Buffalo, Maxim, and more. Full time or part time position. We are looking for a professional auto mechanic and fabricator with the following skills: - Proven experience as auto mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of mechanical and fabrication; possessing own tools - Proficient in tear down and final assembly of older classic cars and/or fire apparatus - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles - Conduct routine maintenance work of classic cars (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, mechanical adjustments etc.) - Ability to diagnose issues and problem solve - Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts - Welding - Fabrication - Ability to keep detailed log of work - Strong work ethic and positive attitude a must - Motivated, self-starter www.gaspersautomotive.com
