In House Group is a design/build construction company specializing in custom design and construction management and specialty fabrication. Founded in 2007 by an architect and his partner, IHG believes in integrating the architect and the builder at every stage of the creative process. We focus primarily on large-scale commercial projects, such as breweries, and also some residential homes within New York City. Our new office space is located on the 2nd Floor of The Liberty Tower, formerly the Sinclair Oil Building, in the Financial District of Manhattan. We are looking for a thoughtful and self-motivated Project Manager to be a job site lead for our team. The Project Manager is responsible for the supervision and administration of individual construction projects and is directly accountable for the day-to-day coordination of activities of the project. The construction Project Manager will report to the company partners. Skills and experience we are seeking: -62-Hour SST Card (or close to it) -At least 3-5 years experience in Construction Management -Extensive knowledge of common building systems and components (steel, concrete, masonry, mechanical systems, framing, carpentry and finishes) -Ability to read and execute Construction Documents -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment -Ability to work independently Project Responsibilities: -Review project documents including construction drawings and shop drawings -Procure tools, materials, fixtures and appliances as required by the contract documents -Provide weekly site updates and work plan -Communicate and Coordinate onsite needs with subcontractors and vendors -Maintain site safety protocols and Covid19 safety protocols -Establish and Maintain project labor efficiency -Produce Project Control Estimates -Produce Project Schedule Estimates -Coordinate Subcontractors scheduling and supervise their scope of work -Maintain project documentation, including product submittals -Provide oversight of Project Closeout through the punch list phase Please send cover letter telling us a bit about why you want to work at IHG and resume. • Principals only, Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster. • Do NOT contact us with unsolicited services or offers
