Meet us at the Scanlon Community Center for an educational walking tour of Mayport Village, Jacksonville's quaint, 60 acre seat of commercial fishing - one of the Florida's first designated Waterfront Communities! Mayport on the Move is home to Ocearch Shark Tracker & Jacksonville University's Marine Science Research Institute, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority's St. John's Ferry queuing lanes, the City of Jacksonville's 2.5 million dollar investment into a new Community Center. The tour will be led by Alyce Decker, AICP, Co-Chair Mayport Waterfront Partnership, Rich Redick, Mayport Working Waterfront, LLC & former member of Friends of the Ferry & Ocean Trails Historic A1A Preservation Project. Bill Gulliford, former Atlantic Beach Mayor, Jacksonville City Councilman District 13 and avid community activist. APA members can receive 1.5 cm learning credits.
