The holidays are a magical time for families to experience the wonder of Santa and to create heartfelt memories together. Understanding that children with sensory sensitivities may require a more customized experience, Ashland Town Center will offer Sensitive Santa®, a sensory-friendly holiday event, on December 5 from 9AM - 10:30AM.
During Sensitive Santa, families will have the opportunity to meet Santa prior to the town center opening for a quieter, more subdued experience, with the opportunity to support Autism Speaks. With each purchase of a photo with Santa, a portion/percentage of proceeds will be donated to support the mission of Autism Speaks’ important research and advocacy.
This family-friendly event allows children with special needs to experience the annual magic of the holidays in safe, controlled environment, featuring alternative seating options for children taking photos with Santa, as well as muted lights, quiet music, and reduced center traffic to help lessen sensory stimuli.
The event is free to attend and photographs are available for purchase. Families are encouraged to RSVP in advance by reserving a ticket.
Ashland Town Center is the premier retail destination serving three states. The town center is home to more than 70 national and local retail, dining and entertainment options, as well as numerous events and activities throughout the year. A dynamic offering of things to do along with things to buy keeps guests engaged and returning often.
