Cultural Humility Training for Behavioral Health Professionals working in Clark, Greene, & Madison Counties We cannot ever be truly competent in another’s culture. However, through cultural humility we can make a lifelong commitment to self-evaluation and critique, to redressing power imbalances in our communities and in our work. Participants will walk away being able to understand and apply the concepts, principles and pratices of Cultural Humility. Behavioral Health Provider Cultural Humility Principles: A lifelong process of critical self-reflection and self-critique Redressing the power imbalances in the patient-provider dynamicDeveloping mutually beneficial partnerships with communities on behalf of individuals and defined populationsAdvocating and maintaining institutional accountability that parallels the three principles above.It is recommended but not mandatory that you register for and attend each session. Each session builds on the last, leading up to the final "Where do we go from here" session.
