Come join us as we take waterfowl hunting setup basics out on the water in this free, outdoor workshop hosted by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. We'll be discussing and demonstrating different decoy setups, styles and configurations using effective decoys on an actual pond. We'll address how to take into account and adjust for variables such as wind, sun and cover. We'll also go over decoy placement variations based upon the number and species of decoys and hunting location.
What to expect:
This is an outdoor workshop. DWR will be using one of their ponds to demonstrate actual decoy setups, styles and configurations. Attendees will need to come dressed/prepared for the weather and plan on standing near the edge of a pond for the duration of the workshop. Tall boots or waders are recommended.Attendees will also need to walk a short distance (300 yards) from our Central Region Office parking lot to the DWR pond being utilized for this workshop (see map below).Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to allow time for event check-in and walking to the demonstration pond.Questions:
