Description
Rehoming without fee in the "pets" category under "community," per craigslist guidelines! (https://forums.craigslist.org/?act=sticky&ID=40)... we just want to find our kitty a great new home...
His favorite things are included, like a bed, cardboard scratcher, cat water fountain and some cat food!
Cat seeking a new, loving family. He has been an indoor/outdoor cat, though lately he’s been staying indoors almost always. Very well-trained to use a litter box. The vet says this cat is probably around 5-8 years old (exact age unknown). Neutered. We recently took him to the vet for a check-up and a dental cleaning; physically he is very healthy.
He is a bit wary of people at first, but not a total "scaredy-cat." We think he could use a calmer environment than our house (where we have young kids and dogs, too). He likes to spend time on your bed, or other cozy spot. He's not the most affectionate cat -- he won't nuzzle your ankles, nor lie down on top of you. But once he gets to know you, he does love to get affection! On the other hand, he does not *need* a lot of attention, unless it's to get water or food -- his "love language" is getting running water (we can give you his new "water fountain" bowl!); or, he loves a can of wet cat food for a treat.
But a reliable routine of food/water is advised. He has a history of (mild) scratching at your ankles, to tell you that he wants something. And (mild) biting/scratching if you touch him the wrong way, or stop petting him before he’s done. However, I say "a history" because he has not done these things at all in recent memory. I think we've figured out how to give him what he needs, and he has gotten into a healthy "groove."
We like how "chill" he is; and he is adorable when he does get into the "affection/human companionship" thing.
Please email or text me if you’re interested (no calls, please).
