TN EXPRESS Concealed Handgun Carry Permit As of Jan 1, 2020 TN residents may obtain a permit to carry a pistol concealed. The abbreviated lectures in this course meets TN’s requirements to obtain a Concealed Carry Permit. This course covers: -Basic Firearms Safety Rules -Basic Handgun Features -Basic Handgun Knowledge and Skills for Safe Handling -Basic Safe Storage of Firearm and Ammunition -Basic Safe Transportation and Safe Storage Methods In Vehicles -Basic Current Tennessee Law on Carrying Handguns Time: 4 hours Minimum age: 20 Class requirements: safe, operative handgun, 25 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. All of the gear is available for rent at TWRA. If you are undecided on what gun is right for you, or would like to shoot one before making a purchase, we can help. We have firearm rentals available. Our rental package consists of one .22 caliber handgun and ammo. Their low recoil and easy handling make them ideal for new or first time shooters.
