Guitarist/composer seeks bassist & drummer for raw older Prog vibe

I write fairly complex music but try to keep feel and rawness at the center. I incorporate a lot of time signatures, chord textures, etc but also respect good, solid riffs. I aim for contrapuntal lines and, most important of all, a real sense of ensemble between musicians. I want a band where each member has a clear, distinct voice which adds to the whole. Here's the typical run-of-the-mill part of the ad: I'm looking for a bassist and drummer. Either/or will work in the beginning, especially a drummer, but it would be great to connect all parts early in the process. I'm open to other instruments but I've worked well with trios (Jazz drummers, Rock bassists, etc). I dig all kinds of music but I suppose the most apparent influences include older Prog (pre-1982 King Crimson, Rush, etc), Stoner/early Metal/Thrash stuff (Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Fu Manchu, Megadeth, etc), The Police, Talking Heads, Jazz and a lot of World music (Shahin Najafi, King Sunny Ade, Thai Morlum, etc). Focusing on originals but it would be cool to hash out a few interesting covers. I have good gear and a dedicated music room to work out parts and rehearse at low volumes. I'm happy to throw in on practice space rental and studio time. I'd like to get something together and hit stages in the region to see what kind of response we get. I’d prefer to work with folks near Providence but I’m willing to travel a bit for the right situation (Boston or similar). ---- I'm listing the following more to avoid wasting each other's time than to start a debate. I've found it's better to work with bandmates who have at least some basic similarities in thinking and I'd rather be out in the open out of basic mutual respect. I'm a decent writer and my lyrics often focus on socio-political commentary leaning left but with a willingness to be self-critical. I don't like easy answers and I don't agree with either side by default. That said, I'm progressive in many regards. I'm pro-vax and against the direction the Republican party has been heading for years. I'm open-minded but I don't do conspiracy theories, whether right or left. I don't mind alcohol, 420, etc unless you don't have it in check. I show up on time, I don't bring drama, and I'm seeking the same.
