Description
The Service Technician will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting on various forklift models and material handling equipment. Responsibilities: • Read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics • Repair or replace major system components, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG systems, power steering, transmissions, and engines with limited supervision • Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts • Troubleshoot and diagnose most truck components • Perform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervision • Perform proper PM’s in a timely manner • Be able to use all special tools properly, and maintain and properly use the normal tools of the trade • Follow all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies, and at customer’s sites • Perform other duties as required or assigned by management REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High school diploma / G.E.D / Other Technical training. • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance on industrial equipment and/or machines • Demonstrated ability to repair equipment per skill level • Must be fluent in English.
