Tues Nov 23th 4-7: The Petaluma Holiday Food Fair is an indoor farmer’s market in the ballroom and courtyard of Hotel Petaluma where folks can purchase directly from local food artisans to prepare for thanksgiving and beyond. It is free to attend, but tickets and reservations are required.
After the 2017 wildfires devastated Sonoma County, Lorraine & Michael Barber of the Barber Cellars winery noticed that many of the local artisans they supported in their tasting room were suffering from lack of business. At the height of harvest season, farmers markets were closed and sales were slim. They organized this event to get a much needed financial boost to local food producers. The event has become a vital start to the holiday season and remains an important event for local food artisans during these strange and tough times.
There will be no sampling this year, and masks are to be worn at all times, although some food will be sold for consumption outside in the hotel courtyard. Masks are required for entry. The number of people allowed in at one time is limited. Tickets are required and include a time preference (half hour increments) so there’s less of a wait.
Small production winery and first downtown tasting room in Petaluma, dedicated to great local wines and great local cheese.
