Please join us to welcome to Charlotte Hamid and his Family. Hamid was an Afghan to U.S. Special Operations Forces Combat Interpreter. We request your assistance by joining us at Freedom Park in Charlotte, NC. to welcome Hamid and his family to their new American home in our Charlotte community. If you are able, we ask that you make and bring with you a "Welcome Home" or “Salam” sign to hold up and greet them. The family consists of Hamid, his wife, and their two sons, ages 3 and 6. Should you wish, we also welcome you to bring small gifts like flowers or a toy for the children. Hamid and his family left all of their belongings behind and came to America with only the clothes on their back. Gift cards are a great way to show your support for the family and help them establish a new life in America here in our Charlotte community.
