About VITA The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is coordinated by a team of partnering organizations to aid thousands of tax payers each year. Support with tax preparation saves taxpayers from paying hundreds of dollars in preparation fees and makes an enormous difference to an individual or family by maximizing their tax refunds and credits. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in: • Accounting and Finance • Social work and human services • Leadership Volunteering During COVID-19 There will be opportunities for volunteers to serve remotely or in-person at multiple tax sites throughout Pierce County.
