All Aboard for The Krewe of Priscus Inaugural Mardi Gras Ball benefitting local charities!
The Krewe of Priscus would like to invite you to join us for an elegant evening filled with all the bells and whistles including open bar, food, and a cash shot bar for charity. Wear your formal attire and put on your boogie shoes to dance the night away with music by local band Horseshoe Kitty. The name Priscus is derived from Rome’s 5th King, Lucius Tarquinius Priscus. He was known for hosting premiere parties and wearing a lavish wardrobe of rich purple robes and golden crowns. In February1900, Alexander Clement Blount II was named as the first Priscus, King of the Carnival bringing the celebration of Mardi Gras to Pensacola. The Krewe of Priscus was formed in 2020 to honor Pensacola’s rich Mardi Gras heritage. A replica of Frisco the train, our float pays homage to Palafox Street which has widely become known as the heart of downtown Pensacola. In keeping with our commitment to the enrichment of Pensacola proceeds will benefit Pace Center for Girls, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, and Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers. Come Ride the Train and party in style with The Krewe of Priscus!
