Loving home wanted for 9-yr-old healthy dog

Description
I have had Wendy since she was 10 weeks old. She's a very loving and affectionate dog that has only lived with me. She requires a home where someone is home all day, working from home is fine. NO CHILDREN, she was not raised with them and homes without children are recommended for senior dogs. If you have grandkids that visit we will need to discuss that. Wendy has had arthritis in her knees since she was 1 year old and she takes a daily glucosamine soft chews. She loves walks, NO running, NO jogging. Walks shouldn't be more than about 30 minutes. Wendy had an older brother who recently passed. He's been with her all her life, and Wendy is adjusting to being an only dog. Her brother was a dachshund mix, a smaller dog, and I think she might enjoy having a family with a smaller dog. She is not a lap dog, but she loves to lay beside you on the sofa to be pet. She doesn't beg for attention and she is not a dog that wants tummy rubs all the time. She loves it when someone sits beside her and just gently strokes her. She's quiet but will bark if she senses someone is around the house. Wendy has some hunting dog in her, she is a sight hound and loves to chase lizards and leaves and butterflies and squirrels and cats. If it runs or moves she will chase it! I don't know if she can be taught to coexist with cats or not. Wendy is a moderate to low energy dog that loves to be with you, she loves human company. She would be an excellent dog for someone with limited mobility or someone who lives alone and wants a 4-legged companion who is just happy being there with them. SHE DIGS! If you are someone who keeps a perfect lawn this is NOT the dog for you. Her mom was a stray dog off the street. All vets agree she is a spaniel mix, most likely cocker spaniel. She has the disposition of a somewhat shy, reserved dog. She doesn't want people coming up to her that she doesn't know, just like you wouldn't want a big hug from a total stranger. You'll need to give her time to adjust and lots of positive reinforcement. Wendy is UTD on all her shots, heartworm meds and flea meds. She weighs 35 lbs. Wendy needs regular grooming and I have always done her grooming. I have all her vet records. Wendy is my family, and I will be extremely choosy about what home she goes to, preferably a quiet home with someone who has a positive attitude and is relaxed with animal behaviors. Vet reference is required, and I will require an interview, preferably in your home. I will only respond to serious inquiries. Wendy's crate and belongings will come with her, and we can discuss a rehoming fee if you are interested.
