EAST GREENWICH, RI — East Greenwich school officials hired Domenic Giusti to be the next principal of Meadowbrooks Farm Elementary School. Giusti will join the district on Monday, Nov. 15, and replaces Neil Marcaccio. Marcaccio will remain in the district, but will instead serve as the director of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for East Greenwich Public Schools. For the past four years, Giusti was the principal of Tiogue Elementary School in Coventry. Prior to his time in Coventry, Giusti was principal of Eldredge Elementary School (2006-2017) in East Greenwich. "I am ecstatic about returning to the East Greenwich Public Schools, where I honed my skills as both a teacher and principal for over 22 years," Giusti said. "Moreover, I am honored to join Meadowbrook Farms Elementary School as their new leader, a school that has a rich tradition in excellence." Giusti's accomplishments include receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics, earning the RI Department of Education Mentor Principal designation and being named a finalist for Principal of the Year. Giusti holds a Bachelor's of Science in elementary education and mathematics from Rhode Island College and a Master's of Education in mathematics from Boston University. "Mr. Giusti returns to East Greenwich as a well-respected and accomplished Rhode Island principal," Superintendent Alexis Meyer said. "He brings with him new professional experiences and learning that will positively contribute to the future of Meadowbrook Farms Elementary School and East Greenwich Public Schools. He is a remarkable leader who is skilled at building relationships with students, staff, and families. Mr. Giusti's strengths, knowledge and experience will help to build upon the tradition of excellence at Meadowbrook Farms School."
