Postponed the 125th Swea City 2020 Quasquicentennial to June 25-27, 2021 Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, the Swea City 125th Quasquicentennial will be postponed to next year, June 25-27, 2021. We are offering these options for your All-School Reunion Meal Reservation: 1) Refunds - will be honored through Eventbrite or per below instructions. 2) Hold - Keep the donation for your reunion meal ticket and apply to your reservation for June 26, 2021. 3) Donate now or later - Apply your donation for your reunion meal ticket to the Swea City Pool fund now and then you can submit a new reservation for the 2021 Reunion. We want to honor your wishes, so please email or call Lupe Kollasch at [email protected] or call 515-320-0021. You should have received a letter regarding this information. We will continue to accept reservations for the postponed event on June 26, 2021 at $25 per person. It is extremely helpful if you use email to enter an email address and/or a working phone number. The following events are still planned for June 25-27, 2021: On Friday, June 25, 2021, food will be available in Reynolds Park. Games for all ages will be on main street with the Swea City Firemen hosting a beer garden and the Scott Larsen Band at 9 pm. So far on Saturday, June 26, the parade will be held at 11:00 am. Food will be available in Reynolds Park, Immanuel Lutheran Church, etc. There will be games and activities in the park following the parade and possible entertainment throughout the afternoon. A car show will be on main street and a fun time playing bingo. Tours of the school will be available. Social Hour for the all-school reunion is from 4-5 pm. We will have classrooms assigned to gather for your class. We will need to know class numbers to finalize this. The All-School Reunion meal is at the school from 5-7 pm. The Powerhouse Band will play at 9 pm with the firemen handling the beer garden. On Sunday, June 27, there will be a community church service in the park at 10:00 am. We are looking to either have some sort of food before or after the service. Free swimming at the pool will be throughout the weekend weather permitting. All-School Reunion Info: Date: Saturday, June 26, 2021. There will be tours of school available from 2:00 -4:00 PM. From 4:00-5:00 PM is social hour with classes meeting at the school in various classrooms. The meal will be served in the cafeteria and gym from 5:00-7:00 pm. Cost is $25.00 per person.
